Happy Squishies

First happy squishy:mmmmm lipstick lava...thanks Donna!! Had a coffee with Donna yesterday at the Lindt cafe near my work. I forgot to take my camera so you'll just have to imagine the coffee topped with real lindt chocolate shavings... . But I did have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Donna's amazing shetland shawl - wow! Such amazing lace!

Second happy squishy:
(well, the main squishy bit on this one was the padded postal envelope, but just go with me will you!). Fab 2 socks on 1 circ pattern book (because knitting two at once makes the yarn go faster, yes!), maple sugar candy (clearly I ate one before I took the picture, and when they say it is pure maple sugar, they mean, it is 100% sugar - omg!!), and mmm yummy soap (I do love a yummy soap!). And of course, lovely ziplock bags, because we all know you can never have too many of those!I think I'll have to make this pattern first. Since it's on topic and all. These lovely gifts were from lovely MadMad, for no particular reason. Ok, well, you got me, it was for Valentine's Day. Ooo-errr, I've got a girlfriend (and also, I'm now magically 12 years old). Oh, and I almost forgot (like I forgot to take a picture), the book is signed by the author, to me! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

*thanks to Catsmum for the title inspiration!

I LOVE maple sugar candy! I was in Quebec once and bought some at a farmers' stall. MR QM thought it was disgusting eating 100% pure sugar, but oh no. Yummmmmmmm!

The yarn looks amazing and the book! Hurry up and start something!

My great-grampa used to get a box of maple sugar candy for Christmas from someone when I was little. I loved that stuff. I could have eaten his whole box!

The Smooshy is gorgeous.

My black dog has a Happy Squishie -- her green squishy ball which she mm's and rrr's and squishes against your leg until you throw it.

I LOVE maple sugar candy! It never even occurred to me that y'all wouldn't have it down there (*smacking forehead*). It just melts in your mouth, doesn't it? When I was a kid I didn't really have a sweet tooth except for maple sugar candy (and brown sugar straight from the container, for which I always got scolded).

What beautiful goodies you got! And the Lindt cafe sounds like a place I need to visit...

I have been craving maple sugar candy since I read this post this morning. It must be DELIGHTFUL. Maple syrup is one of the nicest things in the world!

And so much squishy joy. You are a very, very lucky RoseRed.

Sorry it took me so long to comment. Work net has been having a few issues!

Beautiful squooshy and squishy!!! I love real maple syrup, not the imitation stuff. I understand about the 2 socks at once, but I can't believe it. It's like the way planes fly: I know they do, but I never believe they will actually leave the ground!!!

Lovely things.. That smooshy is so great. Isn't that shawl perfect, and so big, she is a fab knitter!

Oooh, I love the Smooshy! How lucky are you to have so many Valentines? Clearly, it's because you are so special yourself!

I was gifted some maple sugar lollies a while ago and LOVED it. Well for the first 4 candies and after that it was just. too. rich! Who'd'a thunk sugar could be rich as well as sweet?

Love the colours in that yarn. It's destined for beautiful things, I can tell!

That coffee and the company was wonderful! And the skim milk totally negates any calories the real chocolate might add ;)

What a fabulous day--great chocolate, great presents. I see great things coming of the two socks at once book, though I can't quite wrap my head around it, either. Even though I live in a place that abounds with maple trees, I don't think I've ever tried any of the candy. Must get some, sugar is my friend.

Ha, you crack me up... You've got a girlfriend! :)
The smooshy is gorgeous. I've got a couple of hanks languishing in my stash also.

Dont worry Rose Red, calcuim, a vital nutrient, can be found in many sources such as chocolate! And you totally need calcuim to live, right? Love your magical transportation back to 12, must do wonders for the skin! The yarn looks divine too.
